'In 10 Weeks' – A Celebration of Students' Creativity

Chony’s Art Room – Annual Student Art Exhibition 2025

Last Saturday night, something truly special happened at The Old Ambulance Station in Nambour. Nearly 200 people came together to celebrate creativity, courage, and community at the opening of In 10 Weeks — the annual student art exhibition presented by Chony’s Art Room.

What is In 10 Weeks?

In 10 Weeks is an exhibition that brings together artworks created over just 10 weeks by students from all of Chony's art classes and workshops across the Sunshine Coast.

From kindergarteners just beginning their artistic journey to teens exploring self-expression, and adults rediscovering creativity, this exhibition represents not just a body of work — but a body of growth, exploration, and joy.

More Than Just an Exhibition

At its core, this event is about more than paint, paper, and clay. It's about providing every student — no matter their age or background — the opportunity to feel proud of their creative voice and to see what's possible when you live a creative life.

Chony’s philosophy is grounded in joyfulness, encouraging students to enjoy the process of making art, not just the outcome. Every piece displayed was a testament to this spirit — filled with individuality, risk-taking, and heart.

A Night of Community

The opening night celebration was a warm, joyful gathering. With live music, light refreshments, and a room full of smiling faces, the exhibition became a place to reconnect — with creativity, with friends, and with community.

This is what Chony curates so well — not just a showcase of art, but a moment to pause, celebrate, and come together.
